We did not discover the Wilderness Lodge at Disney World until the last few years. We are not strangers to the Disney World parks and resorts, but had somehow overlooked this less-talked-about hotel.
Wilderness Lodge is now one of our favorites, even though it is not on the monorail track. It is a serene getaway in the heart of the Magic Kingdom area, and a place that feels most like home at Disney World.
Welcome to Wilderness Lodge.
Below, I rate everything from towel fluffiness to comfort of the bed in my standard rating system.

Comments (and Tips!)

Sign up online for My Disney Experience.Have your Magic Bands shipped to your home.Do Online Check-In before arrival. You receive an email with your room number when your Villa is ready.Get your parking pass with the security guard at resort entry.Go directly to your room! No need to stand in line at the front desk!
Laundry for studios is on the 1st floor, near the elevators
Room tips: Get a villa near elevator: it’s a loooooong walk down to far end. Most rooms have a ‘woods’ view — don’t bother asking for it.
Don’t miss the pony rides and lovely horses and next-door TriCircleD Ranch!
